Top-150 overall recruit Justin Caldwell commits to Georgetown

Justin Caldwell, a three-star prospect in the 2026 class, has committed to Georgetown, he told Rivals.

The 6-foot-9 rising senior out of Berean Baptist Academy (NC) chose head coach Ed Cooley and the Hoyas over schools like Mississippi State, NC State, Maryland, and others.

Caldwell is the No. 123 overall recruit in the 2026 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Rankings. He’s also the No. 18 power forward prospect and the No. 3 player in North Carolina.

Caldwell on his commitment to Georgetown

Justin Caldwell went in-depth on his commitment to Georgetown with Rivals.

“I chose Georgetown because it felt like home. The tradition, the vision for the program, and the way they believe in me really stood out. It’s a place where I can grow on and off the court.”

What led to his trust in the coaching staff?

“The consistency. Coach Cooley, Coach Battle, and the whole staff were real with me from day one. They took time to build a genuine relationship and showed me they truly care about my development.”

In his own words, what type of player is Georgetown getting in Caldwell?

“I would describe myself as a versatile forward who plays strong around the rim and is able to stretch the floor… I play with energy and toughness everytime I step on the floor!”
