Top 2026 recruit Gabby Minus commits to Tennessee

Top 2026 recruit Gabby Minus has committed to Tennessee, she told Rivals. The 6-foot-1 small forward from Kathleen (GA) Hebron Christian Academy chose the Lady Vols over Baylor, Clemson, Florida and Georgia.
“Coach Gabe [Lazo] knew me when he recruited me at Mississippi State,” Minus told Rivals. “He still kept contact with me and it was really him that made it happen for me there. Coach Kim [Caldwell], I love her coaching style. She’s coming up and everyone has good things to say about her. I love her as a person. It has a good mixture of culture, coaching and a family atmosphere.”

She also loves their unique play style.
“We’re giving 100% on the court, so why not get taken out for two or three minutes and then come back in and still give 100%?,” she said. “I really enjoy their play style. It gives us free space and doesn’t limit us to be in an exact position. She gives us opportunities to see and find ourselves in the game.”
While her arrival on campus is still nearly a year away, there’s a lot to be excited about.
“I think the support,” she said. “The fanbase is so exciting. Seeing people who love women’s basketball. Coach Kim is trying to bring back Tennessee to be a national championship team and bringing back that culture. I want to be a part of that.”
