Top 2026 recruit Morgan Stewart commits to Florida State

Top 2026 recruit Morgan Stewart has committed to Florida State, she announced on Wednesday. The 5-11 guard from Washington (DC) St. John’s High School averaged 19.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.7 steals per game this past season.
“I feel like I can score at all three levels,” Stewart told Rivals previously. “I’ve been working on my mid-range a lot. I’ve been working on my rebounding a lot too. I focus on rebounding the most.”
The Seminoles were one of the first P5 programs to offer Stewart and recently hosted her for an official visit this weekend.
“Obviously, you see women’s basketball growing so much,” Stewart previously told Rivals. “I like to see how the school sees women’s basketball. That’s one of the biggest things I look at.”

Stewart was one of the summer’s biggest risers in the rankings and now holds the No. 41 ranking in the 2026 class. She averaged 24 points per game this summer for the Germantown Lady Panthers on the GUAA circuit.
She marks the second commit for Florida State, following Asia Lee’s announcement last month. Stewart joins Lee, a 5-9 combo guard, as the Seminoles’ 2026 commits thus far. Other targets for Florida State include Missy Odom, Lola Lampley and Chamiah Francis.
