UCLA remains one of the hottest teams on the recruiting trail early on this summer. Monday morning has already brought two new commitments for head coach DeShaun Foster and the staff in Los Angeles.

Hollywood (Fla.) Charles W Flanagan three-star wide receiver Santana Carlos and Port Saint Lucie (Fla.) Vero Beach three-star WR Xavier Stinson have each committed to the Bruins.

Both Sunshine State pass-catchers made the cross-country trek to L.A. for an official visit over the weekend. Both are now in the fold, giving UCLA 17 commits in its 2026 class.

Stinson is the No. 860 overall prospect and No. 131 WR in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. Carlos checks in as the No. 945 recruit and No. 154 receiver.

UCLA’s 2026 class loaded with receiver talent

UCLA receivers coach Burl Toler III has put together an impressive receiver haul so far this cycle. The addition of Carlos and Stinson gives the Bruins a whopping six commitments at the position.

At the end of September, twin brothers Jaron and Kennan Pula each committed. The Provo (Utah) Timpview duo are both top-10 prospects in the Beehive State. Jaron Pula is a four-star prospect and checks in as the No. 357 recruit overall.

“We just love the whole coaching staff and how much love and attention they’ve been showing us from the start,” Jaron told On3’s Chad Simmons. “At UCLA, it just feels like home and we see our future there.”

Stockton (Calif.) St. Mary’s three-star WR Kenneth Moore then committed in November. Irvine (Calif.) Santa Margarita Catholic three-star Jonah Smith is the longest-tenured commit in the class, as he pledged all the way back in March of last year. Both Moore and Smith are top-40 prospects in California.

More on UCLA recruiting this cycle

The Bruins’ class now ranks No. 16 in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. That’s good for the No. 5 spot in the Big Ten, ranking ahead of Washington, Michigan, Rutgers, Illinois, Iowa and others.

June has already brought UCLA a pair of huge pledges on the offensive line, too. Bradenton (Fla.) Berkeley Prep four-star offensive tackle Johnnie Jones is On3’s No. 81 recruit and No. 8 OT. He committed on June 9, just two days after Fort Pierce (Fla.) Vero Beach four-star IOL Micah Smith, a top-200 prospect, did the same.

UCLA has now landed nine commitments in total this month. Last month, three top-500 prospects also joined the fold: Littleton (Colo.) Heritage three-star tight end Camden Jensen, Irvine (Calif.) Crean Lutheran three-star defensive lineman Anthony Jones and Medina (Tenn.) South Gibson three-star DL Yahya Gaad.

The Bruins have acquired some serious steam on the trail this summer and they’ll look to parlay that into a top-10 class when the dust settles at the end of the cycle. There’s a long way to go, but the West Coast program is on pace to sign its best class in recent memory.
