South Florida is notorious for producing high-caliber college football players who are underrated in high school. One of those talents could very well be 2026 running back Daquon Adderley out of West Broward High School. The Bobcats defeated Buchholz to reach their first state championship final in school history.

“I feel like we have a pretty high chance of winning states,” Adderley said. “I really have faith in the team that we have at West Broward. We got good guys on both sides of the ball and at every position. I have high faith in us winning states this year.”

Adderley is having a strong season, rushing for 702 yards and averaging 7.3 yards per carry.

“My season is going pretty well with West Broward. They helped me see my reads and develop more in my senior year. They’ve helped me to be more patient. To know when to run downhill, when to take your time.”

The transfer from Moore Haven made the move to West Broward for his senior season to put himself in a better position to be noticed by major college football programs.

“West Broward looked promising. Moore Haven wasn’t making any moves, so I had to go out and do something that would benefit me.

Adderly holds four scholarship offers: FAU, Stetson, Syracuse, and USF.

Syracuse and Stetson are the two schools maintaining contact, with the Orange out in front. Syracuse General Manager Thomas Caporale has maintained contact with Adderly.

“I ended up getting my offer from Syracuse in tenth grade. I talked to Coach Cap from up there; we talked a lot. Then the running backs coach came down to speak to me personally. But he left for Oregon, and I still kept in contact with Coach Cap; we’ve been talking.

Adderly did not sign during the early signing period, but plans to sign with his future school on February 4th, 2026. The high-potential back did not take any game-day visits this season, but wants to visit Florida, Miami, and Syracuse before signing day.
