West Virginia flips 2026 EDGE Noah Tishendorf from Oregon State

Lake Oswego (Ore.) Lakeridge three-star EDGE Noah Tishendorf was set to stay home and play for Oregon State at the next level. He’s now set to head across the country instead.

Tishendorf announced on Monday that he has flipped his commitment from Oregon State to West Virginia.

Pledged to the Beavers since March 10, Tishendorf is now in the mix in Morgantown following an official visit to the Big 12 program over the weekend.

He is the No. 97 EDGE and No. 5 player in Oregon in the 2026 cycle, per the On300. He ranks No. 1,315 overall in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Across his last two seasons at Lakeridge High, the 6-foot-3, 250-pounder has over 100 total tackles, per MaxPreps. Last year, Lakeridge finished as the No. 5 team in Oregon, according to the On3 Composite Rankings.

Mountaineers bulk up 2026 class after big weekend of visits

Commitments are coming in hot for Rich Rodriguez and WVU following what’s turned out to be a successful official visit weekend. Tishendorf is the second flip of the day for the Mountaineers, following Philadelphia St. Joseph’s Prep cornerback Simaj Hill, who flipped from James Madison.

Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep interior offensive lineman Rhett Morris and Moody (Ala.) defensive lineman Cameron Mallory also committed to WVU on Monday. The class is now up to 10 commits in total.

This is the second hot streak of the cycle for the Mountaineers. In April, they stacked five pledges.

Belle Glade (Fla.) Cardinal Newman three-star athlete Jyron Hughley is the top-ranked member of the class, checking in as the No. 408 prospect in the cycle. He’s one of two Sunshine State prospects in the class, alongside Royal Palm Beach Central three-star linebacker Cameron Dwyer.

Ohio is also well-represented in the class. Springfield three-star LB Taj Powell and Cincinnati Archbishop Moeller three-star tight end Sam Hamilton are both top-50 prospects in the state.

Lampasas (Texas) Georgetown three-star running back Jett Walker and Bixby (Okla.) three-star safety Emory Snyder are also in the fold. Walker is On3’s No. 32 RB this cycle and was among the April additions for Rodriguez and his staff.

The class ranks No. 63 nationally, per the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Last cycle, WVU finished with the No. 47 class overall.
