West Virginia lands commitment from 2026 TE Kade Bush

Just two days after decommitting from Arkansas, Chanhassen (Minn.) three-star tight end Kade Bush has now committed to West Virginia.
He announced the decision on Thursday afternoon via X:
Bush is the No. 1,027 overall prospect and No. 68 TE in the 2026 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 6 recruit in Minnesota.
The Mountaineers offered Bush earlier this month on Oct. 12. He then backed off a seven-month-long commitment to the Razorbacks and has quickly jumped in the fold for head coach Rich Rodriguez and the staff in Morgantown.
The 6-foot-4, 205-pounder becomes commit No. 27 for the Big 12 program this cycle. West Virginia currently has the No. 52 class in the nation, according to the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
Bush plays for one of the top high school football programs in Minnesota. Chanhassen currently ranks No. 8 in the state, per the Rivals Composite Rankings.
WVU adds Bush to 2026 class
Bush gives the Mountaineers a second tight end commit in their senior class as he joins Cincinnati Archbishop Moeller three-star Sam Hamilton. Ohio and Minnesota are two of now 17 states represented in the class.
Memphis Whitehaven three-star running back Christopher Talley sits atop the class, checking in as the No. 482 overall prospect and No. 31 RB in the nation. He chose WVU in July. Rodriguez and Co. built a majority of its class in the summer, with 18 commits coming in June and July.

Belle Glade (Fla.) Cardinal Newman three-star quarterback Jyron Hughley has been in the class since April and is now the No. 32 QB in the cycle. He’s one of two signal-callers in the class, alongside Santa Monica (Calif.) Notre Dame three-star Wyatt Brown, the No. 134 QB overall.
“Everything is going well. I’m still in contact with everybody. I think my process is going smoothly. Still talking to the coaches every day. Everything is playing out how it’s supposed to play out,” Hughley told Rivals’ Marcus Benjamin about his pledge earlier this month.
Other top commits in the WVU class include: Orland Park (Ill.) Carl Sandburg three-star safety Vincent Smith, Georgetown (Texas) three-star running back Jett Walker, Chesterfield (Va.) Varina three-star RB SirPaul Cheeks, Cornelius (N.C) Mooresville three-star EDGE Kamdon Gillespie, Moody (Ala.) three-star DL Cameron Mallory and Cincinnati Withrow three-star offensive tackle Justyn Lyles.
The class also ranks No. 11 in the Big 12 and is ahead of Colorado, Iowa State, Cincinnati, UCF and Oklahoma State. The entire WVU class can be seen here.
