North-south runner who has good vision, trusts what he sees, and attacks running lanes with decisiveness and burst. He looks put-together, compact with a good muscle base at an unverified 195 pounds. He had a very productive sophomore season and is finishing a junior season in which he is putting up big numbers yet again, doing so against 6A competition. Top Attributes
- Strength: weight room guy who combines strength with a low center of gravity and a tenacious running style - Burst/Acceleration: Runs with little hesitation and explodes through running lanes. - Vision: Sees openings very well, trusts what he sees and is a decisive runner.
Areas to Develop
- Top-end speed: breaks some longer runs, but can still get faster to be able to beat defenders to the corner more regularly. Track times are adquate but there is room for improvement.
Film Review Notes
Hits some home runs from different parts of the field. Slippery and gets through small creases. Also shows some ability to break tackles and run through arm tackles. Has balance. Shows good feet and can make defenders miss. Displays willingness to block and get involved in pass pro. Catches the ball a little bit on film, mostly on screens. Getting further into his film, there are times where he gathers himself a bit to make a cut. Will need to dig into his measurables and other info, but on film, he was a very good back.
