Linebacker

Epps is one of the more complete linebacker prospects in the country. A former safety, Epps has excellent cover skills from his time playing on the back end and is comfortable in space. Dropped 20 pounds over the last year and has made a big jump in his short area quickness and ability to run down plays from behind. Capable of playing inside, strong or weak side ‘backer at the college level but projects best as a middle ‘backer who can roam sideline to sideline, stuff the run and shows some natural pass rush skill as well. Has a hoops background and is a good all around athlete with some natural twitch and suddenness in how he moves. Instinctive player with a nice edge in his game and always competes at a high level. A lot to like with the athletic profile, projectable 6-foot-4, 220 pound frame and football IQ and projects as a multi-year starter at the high Power 4 level with an NFL ceiling.
