Oregon State adds Syracuse kicker Jadyn Oh

Ricky Brumfield and the Oregon State football team have nabbed their second special teams pledge of the offseason, landing kicker Jadyn Oh from Syracuse.

Brumfield grabs his first kicker after nabbing two long snappers from the transfer portal, and it’s a familiar face in Oh, since both crossed paths in Brumfield’s lone season with the Orangemen.

Oh saw no action in 2023, where he redshirted his first year at Syracuse, but took over placekicking duties in 2024, where he was the Orangemen’s primary kicker for field goals and PATs in four games. He was 2-of-5 on field goal attempts and went 11-of-11 on PATs for the season.

Oh also served as the kickoff specialist for the Orangemen in the Holiday Bowl against Washington State in 2024, where he kicked off nine times for 542 yards and two touchbacks.

However, in the 2025 season, Oh saw no action, kicking field goals, and was relegated to being the team’s kickoff specialist after losing the starting job to former Iowa kicker Tripp Woody. This past season, Oh had 32 touchbacks on 46 kickoff attempts for 2,864 yards.

While Oh has the potential to be an effective kicker, his accuracy is the biggest area for improvement, which is why he ultimately served as a kickoff specialist for the Orangemen this past season.

Oh, will have two years of eligibility remaining and will compete with Caleb Ojeda and Cameron Smith for the starting kicking job.

Oregon State currently has 18 prospects as part of its 2026 recruiting class with portal commitments from OL Michael and Peter Langi, WR Adonis McDaniel, EDGE Jarrel Comer, LS Jonathan Zarut, DB Kahanu Kalahiki, DB Isaiah Houi, OL Teko Shoats, DL Tyler Bailey, quarterback Braden Atkinson, wide receiver Xayvion Noland, tight end DeCorion Temple, tight end Eric Olsen, long snapper Tug Sanford, linebacker Jabari Odoemenem, defensive lineman Ish Findlayter, and linebacker Dylan Layne. We also expect two more defensive transfers HERE.
