What do we say every week? Games aren’t played on paper. If they were, this one would shape up to be a low-scoring affair—very low-scoring.
Neither Louisiana Tech nor New Mexico State is averaging more than 20 points per game on offense, while both defenses have looked sharp early in the season.
The Bulldogs currently rank 121st in the nation in rushing offense and 125th in passing offense. With conference play getting underway, it’s time for the offense to take a meaningful step forward in both consistency and production.
Defensively, however, there’s no need to change a thing. New Mexico State quarterback Logan Fife—an experienced Montana transfer with a big arm—will be the Aggies’ biggest weapon on Saturday. But Luke Olson’s defense has proven it won’t back down from any challenge.
