LA Tech Preview
Louisiana Tech picked up its second straight victory on Saturday afternoon, rolling past Alcorn State, 83–58.
AJ Bates powered the Bulldogs with a career-high 26 points, shooting an impressive 10-for-14 from the floor.
Sir Isaac Herron provided a strong presence in the frontcourt as well, finishing with 12 points and six rebounds in 21 minutes—his second consecutive game scoring in double figures.
The Bulldogs now turn their attention to Wednesday night as they seek their first road win of the season.
Georgia Southern Preview
Georgia Southern enters the matchup at 4–5 overall, with victories over UNC Asheville, Florida Gulf Coast, Johnson C. Smith, and Houston Christian.
The Eagles have also been competitive in several narrow defeats, falling to East Carolina by three points, Georgia Tech by two, and Youngstown State by six.
Spudd Webb, a transfer from Division III Emmanuel, leads the team in scoring, averaging 14.4 points per game while shooting an efficient 50% from the field.
He’s joined by three other double-figure scorers: Alden Applewhite (13 ppg), Tyren Moore (12 ppg), and Nakavieon White (11.6 ppg). As a unit, the Eagles are producing nearly 80 points per contest.
