LA Tech Preview
Louisiana Tech secured its first victory of the 2025–26 season on Sunday afternoon, rolling past Lyon College with a dominant 93–35 win.
Avery Thomas II powered the Bulldogs off the bench, leading four players in double figures with 18 points in just 20 minutes. He was nearly flawless from the field, shooting 7-of-8 overall and 4-of-5 from beyond the arc.
Kaden Cooper also provided a spark off the bench, contributing 16 points and seven rebounds. Jaylen Fenner added 15 points, while Scooter Williams chipped in 10 to round out the double-digit scorers.
On the glass, Kylan Howze and Will Allen set the tone, each pulling down a team-high nine rebounds as Louisiana Tech dominated the boards, outrebounding the Scots by 27.
The Bulldogs and Tigers last squared-off during the 2021-2022 season when Tech earned a 70-68 win in Ruston.
Jackson State Preview
Mo Williams’ squad arrives in Ruston at 0–2 after lopsided losses to Illinois (113–55) and Louisville (106–70).
Daeshun Ruffin has been the bright spot for the Tigers, leading the team with 17 points per game on 42% shooting through the first two contests.
Former Bulldog Devin Ree, now playing for Jackson State, is contributing 9.5 points per game while shooting an efficient 50% from the field and 40% from beyond the arc.
