LA Tech Preview

Louisiana Tech enters the 2025–26 season looking to build on last year’s 20–12 campaign. Under fourth-year head coach Talvin Hester, the Bulldogs will showcase a revamped roster featuring 10 newcomers ready to make their mark in Ruston.

Returning to anchor the squad are Will Allen, AJ Bates, Kaden Cooper, and Will Jeffress — the lone holdovers from last season. Their experience and leadership will be vital early on as the newcomers adjust to Hester’s system.

Kaden Cooper is coming off a strong sophomore season, averaging 9.3 points and 7.8 rebounds in 28 minutes per game. Meanwhile, Will Jeffress will look to bounce back after an injury-limited campaign in which he appeared in just three contests but impressed with 9.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 38% shooting from beyond the arc.

The Bulldogs were selected to finish fifth in the Conference USA Preseason Poll, setting the stage for another competitive season in Ruston.

Nevada Preview

Nevada enters the 2025–26 season with something to prove after a disappointing 17-win campaign, following back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances under head coach Steve Alford.

The Wolf Pack roster looks much different this year, with Elijah Price (10.5 points, 8.3 rebounds at Fresno State) and Corey Camper Jr. (10.5 points, 3.6 rebounds at UTEP) headlining a group tasked with replacing eight of the team’s top nine scorers from last season.

Alford’s squad was projected to finish seventh in the Mountain West Preseason Poll, but Nevada will aim to outperform expectations and return to the form that made them a tournament mainstay in recent years.
