Louisiana Tech head coach Sonny Cumbie announced Monday on The Sports Company on SportsTalk 97.7 FM that quarterback Blake Baker will miss the remainder of the 2025 season after suffering an ACL injury in Saturday’s game at Delaware.

Baker suffered the injury late in the first quarter of Tech’s 25–24 loss to Delaware and was replaced by Evan Bullock.

Bullock and Trey Kukuk shared time under center for the remainder of the contest and will now be tasked with leading the Bulldog offense moving forward.

Baker’s 2025 season comes to an early end after completing 66% of his passes for 1,251 yards, five touchdowns, and three interceptions. The Cypress, Texas native also added 260 rushing yards and three scores across eight games.

Louisiana Tech returns to action Saturday in a non-conference matchup at Washington State. Kickoff is set for 9:00 p.m. CT on the CW Network, with radio coverage available on KXKZ 107.5 FM.
