WATCH: UCLA players reflect on 20-17 win over Maryland

UCLA needed a late field goal to log its third consecutive win Saturday night, but the victories continued at the Rose Bowl. Mateen Bhaghani connected on a 23-yard field goal in the final seconds of the fourth quarter to seal the win over Maryland.
The drive was set up by a big run from Anthony Frias who had 97 yards and a touchdown on four carries.
The Bruins’ offense struggled to get going for most of the evening, but the group came through when it counted most. UCLA has now put together a legitimate winning streak heading into next week’s matchup with unbeaten Indiana.
Saturday night it was all smiles for the Bruins.
“It was a very special moment,” Bhaghani said after the game. “I’m super appreciative of our offense. Nico (Iamaleava) and Frias really putting their heart out on the line, and getting me down there. Salem (Abdul-Wahab) and Cash Peterman just making it easy for me. A little tap-in kick.”
Frias opened the scoring for UCLA with a big 55-yard rushing touchdown in the second quarter in his best performance with the Bruins so far.
“It’s just a mentality,” he said. “Being able to have an opportunity today, I was just trying to make the most out of it. When I was going through the runs, just making sure I run hard. Keep my legs going and have high knee drive. It was just a moment that I was able to capitalize on, and I’m just thankful I got an opportunity to do that here.”
