UCLA will play two men’s basketball exhibition games in October, the program announced Tuesday.

The Bruins will play at San Diego State on Oct. 17 and host an Oct. 28 contest against UC Irvine. Game times and broadcast details have yet to be determined.

It will be UCLA’s first outing for a team featuring five new transfers, including point guard Donovan Dent. Last season’s Mountain West player of the year dazzled in summer workouts, including last Tuesday’s open practice in front of the media.

It will also provide a look at the new roles for returners Eric Dailey Jr. and Tyler Bilodeau, who played out of position in their respective first seasons for head coach Mick Cronin last year.

Dailey moved from power forward to small forward and Bilodeau slid over from center to power forward.

The final exhibition tune-up will be six days prior to the Bruins’ season opener against Eastern Washington at Pauley Pavilion.

UCLA revealed its full nonconference schedule last week. Its Big Ten slate has not been finalized and will be announced at a later date.
