Video: USF introduces Rob Higgins as CEO of Athletics
South Florida formally introduced the new CEO of Athletics, Rob Higgins, who takes over as the new leader of the Bulls athletics programs during a two-hour event on Monday in Tampa.
Higgins, an alum of USF, was the executive director of the Tampa Bay Sports Commission for the last 21 years. Bringing a spotlight to Tampa in that role was something that made him very attractive as the future leader of the Bulls program for USF leadership.
“We are incredibly fortunate to have Rob here in this new role of CEO of Athletics,” Jay Stroman, Interim VP of Athletics, said. “He has elevated Tampa and the Bay Area into one of the elite destinations for major sports events.”
