Chris Bell and TJ Quinn named ACC Players of the Week

University of Louisville football wide receiver Chris Bell and linebacker TJ Quinn were named Atlantic Coast Conference Players of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
Bell was named the league’s Wide Receiver of the Week and Quinn the Linebacker of the Week after guiding the Cardinals to a 34-27 win over Pittsburgh last Saturday at Acrisure Stadium.
Bell set new career highs with 10 catches for 135 yards and a touchdown as the offense accounted for 339 yards through the air. It was Bell’s third career 100-yard game and the first this season. He tied the score at 17-17 in the second quarter with a 25-yard touchdown reception — his second on the year. The Yazoo City, Mississippi, native has emerged as the Cards’ top target and is already up to 332 yards and 23 catches this fall.
Quinn recorded a pair of interceptions, including one in the final minute that sealed Louisville’s first conference win. It marked the first two interceptions of Quinn’s career. He was previously named ACC linebacker of the week after his 11-tackle performance against James Madison. The senior leads the team in tackles with 22 this season. Quinn has led Louisville in tackles in back-to-back seasons.
Quarterback Miller Moss has also been named to the Davey O’Brien Award’s weekly Great 8 list in recognition of his performance in the win over Pittsburgh.
Moss led the Cardinals to their first ACC win by completing 33-of-51 passes for 339 yards and three touchdowns. It was the seniors’ best game of the year, and through four games, Moss has thrown for 1029 yards and five scores.
The Cardinals return home this weekend and face No. 24 Virginia at L&N Stadium.
