Louisville head football coach Jeff Brohm had a lot to answer for following the 20-19 home loss to Clemson on Friday.

The Cardinals continuously shot themselves in the foot against the Tigers. Ultimately, missing extra points and field goals, committing 10 penalties for 98 yards, and turning the football over at Louisville’s own 25-yard line doomed Brohm’s team.

It’s the first time in his tenure that Louisville has lost back-to-back home games.

Louisville quarterback Miller Moss completed 19 of 27 passes for 212 yards, adding a touchdown on the ground. Running back Keyjuan Brown had another 100-yard rushing performance against the Tigers, going for 135 on 15 attempts.

Linebacker Antonio Watts also joined Brown on the podium; the junior he had seven tackles.

Louisville drops to 7-3 overall and 4-3 in the ACC, effectively being eliminated from ACC title and College Football Playoff contention. The Cardinals travel to face SMU next weekend in Dallas, with game time yet to be announced.
