Deion Sanders health update: Colorado head coach reveals his condition after medical procedure

Colorado coach Deion Sanders has dealt with his fair share of health issues in the last couple years. Earlier this week, he underwent a procedure to deal with some blood clots he was having.
He has since recovered, though he’s admittedly still feeling a little sore. But he was in good enough shape to take part in his weekly coaches show on Thursday afternoon.
“I’m a little sore today,” Deion Sanders said. “It’s always the second day is always much more sore than the first day, because you still have some of the medication inside you on the first day. So I’m a little sore today. So I was mainly on the cart, coaching from the cart today.”
That said, he looked no real worse for the wear. He was in good spirits during the show. Asked to clarify his status, Sanders kept it short and sweet.
“All good,” he said. “All good.”
Deion Sanders was in good spirits even before the procedure, noting that he was looking forward to getting “that Snoop D.O. double G” before the procedure — referring to the anesthesia. The joke landed well.
Well enough that the host of the weekly coaches show had a good laugh about it. He brought it up again.
“It was so funny because Pacman (Jones) is like my son, and he was sitting right there too,” Sanders said. “And I told the anesthesiologist, look, you don’t give me the right amount of Snoop Dogg I’m sure he has something on him right now.”
So what’s Saturday going to look like for Deion Sanders? He explained.
“I’m good. I’m not running out,” he said. “I’m not running out, I’m walking out this time. So don’t expect me to run out. I’m going to kind of walk out, like the old Ralph.”
And as for the support he’s gotten during his ordeal, Deion Sanders was extremely thankful. He beamed as he discussed those who have reached out to him.
“We have some great fans, great supporters,” he said. “Well wishes from Miss Peggy, everybody has reached out. So I thank everybody.”
