Tahaad Pettiford, Keyshawn Hall to remain at Auburn

Don’t fret Auburn basketball fans, the stars that suited up to play for Bruce Pearl in 2025-26 will remain Tigers after his retirement and the hiring of his son, Steven Pearl, sources told The Field of 68.
Both point guard Tahaad Pettiford, who withdrew from the 2025 NBA Draft to return to Auburn, and highly-touted UCF transfer Keyshawn Hall, are locked in. Pettiford, stepping into a larger role, will compete for SEC POTY after averaging 11.6 points and 3.0 assists off the bench as a freshman. Hall is one of the best scoring guards (18.8 ppg last season) in the country.
Steven Pearl also told the media on Wednesday his entire team will remain intact.
“All the guys we had in the summer are going to be putting on an Auburn jersey this year,” Steven said.
Per new NCAA rules, players are allowed a 30-day transfer window if the head coach leaves their school. Nobody at Auburn will utilize that opportunity, and it’s good news for the Tigers, who were ranked No. 15 in our preseason top-25. With everybody staying and expectations high, it’ll be important for the Tigers to sustain their recent success in a new head coaching era.
