Arkansas Baseball 2025 Offseason Roster Tracker

With the book officially closed on the Arkansas baseball team’s 2025 campaign, coach Dave Van Horn has put in the work this offseason to retool the Razorbacks’ roster.
The college baseball transfer portal, which Arkansas has relied heavily upon in recent years to add quality starters and depth pieces, opened June 2 for all players and closed July 1.
Arkansas must fill multiple holes after a historic MLB Draft that saw a program-record four first round selections and 11 total selections, which tied for the most in a single draft.

An important aspect of this offseason is the erasure of the 11.7 scholarship limit for college baseball teams, as well as the new 34-player roster maximum. That’s down six from the usual 40-man limit, so the Hogs will have to do some creative maneuvering to be in a good spot.
Thankfully, the introduction of the “DSA”, or Designated Student-Athlete, will help curb the roster crunch. Created through the House settlement, DSAs will not be counted towards roster limits as long as they are eligible to play college sports.
According to The College Sports Litigation Tracker, a player who qualifies as a DSA must have been on a Division I team in 2024-25 but either was cut or would have been cut due to roster limits; or, was recruited as freshman in 2025-26 but whose roster spot was cut or would have been cut due to roster limits.
To translate, Arkansas is expected to label some incoming freshmen as DSAs so that they don’t affect the roster numbers.
With all of that said, below is an in-depth breakdown of the roster, including who the top draft prospects are, who is out of eligibility and who still has eligibility. The year classification for each player is based on what Arkansas Athletics lists them as on the official roster.
This is a fluid story that will be updated as roster changes are made. For the latest intel on Arkansas baseball roster news, subscribe to HawgBeat for access to The Trough premium message board.
