Arkansas football adds another secondary coach, per report
The Arkansas football team has added another coach in its secondary, according to a report from ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg.
T.J. Rushing, who coached safeties at Auburn last season, is joining Ryan Silverfield’s staff as cornerbacks coach, according to Rittenberg’s report. He was the special assistant to the head coach in 2024 and was promoted to safeties coach at Auburn in 2025.
Rushing, a Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, native who played for the Indianapolis Colts and Detroit Lions before he got into coaching, was with Silverfield at Memphis as the defensive back’s coach from 2018 to 2019. He left Memphis to coach the same position at Texas A&M from 2020 to 2023 and went to Auburn after that.
