Per reports from CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz, Arkansas Razorbacks head football coach Ryan Silverfield is adding multiple hires to his staff and other outlets have since confirmed.

Silverfield is bringing on Tim Cramsey as offensive coordinator, who served in the same role under Silverfield at Memphis since 2022, Ron Roberts as defensive coordinator and Larry Smith as wide receivers coach, who is also coming over from Silverfield’s Memphis staff.

Cramsey had a very successful run leading the Tigers’ offense, finishing in the Top 25 nationally all four years and was key in helping Memphis achieve back-to-back 10-win seasons in 2023 and 2024. The Tigers were 36th nationally in 2025 putting up 420.7 total yards per game and 20th in scoring offense (34.6 PPG).

Roberts has been around the college game for more than three decades and worked at Florida under Billy Napier the past two seasons. Roberts has also served as DC at Auburn and Baylor, among others. Florida’s unit was 13th in total defense (376.8) in the SEC in 2025 and 12th in scoring defense (24 PPG).

Smith comes highly regarded from Memphis after having a wideout selected all-conference in each of his three seasons with the program. Additionally, Memphis senior analyst Nick Matthews will come with Silverfield after working with quarterbacks for Silverfield.

Florida State running backs/recruiting coordinator coach David Johnson is being targeted by Arkansas for its running backs coaching position. Johnson coached with Silverfield at Memphis in 2016-2017 and has also coached in the SEC at Tennessee.
