Arkansas loses wide receiver for potentially entire season

Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman revealed wide receiver Monte Harrison has a broken foot and could potentially miss the entire season.
Harrison, a former Major League Baseball player who is in his second year at Arkansas, suffered the injury against Arkansas State in Little Rock this past weekend. He was seen after the game on crutches and in a boot.
“Monte, he’s hurt,” Pittman said Monday. “He broke his foot. So he’s going to decide whether he wants to have that surgery or not. But he’s going to be out for a while, if not for the season.”
Harrison did not record any stats in the 56-14 win last weekend, but did play 13 snaps according to Pro Football Focus.
A former four-star prospect, Harrison gained praise for his performance throughout fall camp leading into the season. In the first game of the season against Alabama A&M, he snagged a 29-yard reception.
The Razorbacks are on the road this weekend to face Ole Miss at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Mississippi. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. and the game will air on ESPN.
