Arkansas' official depth chart for Arkansas State game

Ahead of the matchup against Arkansas State later this week, the Arkansas football team released its Week 2 depth chart Monday.
Head coach Sam Pittman and the Razorbacks won last week’s season-opener against Alabama A&M, 52-7, but they’ll face a step-up in competition versus the Red Wolves.
Arkansas State finished 8-5 (5-3 Sun Belt) in 2024 and began its 2025 campaign with a 42-24 victory over Southeast Missouri. Junior quarterback Jaylen Raynor went 26-for-32 for 345 yards and three touchdowns and will present a major threat to an Arkansas defense that features many new starters.

There were no changes to the offensive depth chart this week. That’s not too much of a surprise, though it was a possibility that we’d see more certainty around the right side of the offensive line. That may take another week to get sorted out ahead of the SEC opener against Ole Miss in Week 3.

There were also no changes to the defensive depth chart. Interestingly, Arkansas started Charlie Collins with the first team against Alabama A&M instead of Justus Boone or Phillip Lee, but that could change against the Red Wolves.
Backup nickel cornerback Shakur Smalls was excellent in Week 1 and may see an up-tick in playing time as the season progresses. For now, he’s still on the second team behind Jordan Young.
