Arkansas owns state after 56-14 win over Arkansas State

LITTLE ROCK — The Arkansas Razorbacks (2-0, 0-0 SEC) made quick and easy work of the in-state foe Arkansas State Red Wolves (1-1, 0-0 SBC) at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock on Saturday.
The Hogs jumped out to a quick 28-7 lead in the first quarter, powered by redshirt senior quarterback Taylen Green, who finished with 390 all-purpose yards and five total touchdowns (four passing and one rushing).
The Razorbacks’ offense seemed to sputter a bit in the second quarter, but the Arkansas defense was stout and didn’t allow the Red Wolves to find the end zone in that quarter.
All told, the Razorback defense held the Red Wolves to just 285 total yards (132 passing, 153 rushing) and they averaged just 3.6 yards per carry on 42 attempts.
