Arkansas quarterback Taylen Green returns to Texas A&M game following brief exit

UPDATE: Taylen Green’s right knee was examined in the medical tent and he returned to the game with a compression sleeve on it after Texas A&M pulled ahead 21-6, completing a 14-play 75-yard drive. Green and the Hogs responded with a five-play, 75-yard drive capped by Green’s scamper to the end zone from 27 yards out to cut A&M’s lead to 21-13.
Arkansas Razorbacks senior starting quarterback Taylen Green had to leave the Texas A&M game in the second quarter with an apparent lower leg injury.
Green got tied up with Hogs running back Braylen Russell on a miscommunication and an A&M defender appeared to roll on his right ankle as they fell to the ground. He was helped off of the field to the sideline. At the time Green excited, he had completed 3 of 7 passes for 38 yards, along with three carries for 44 yards.
It happened on second down and five yards to go with 12:20 remaining in the second quarter and the Hogs down 14-3 and redshirt freshman KJ Jackson relived Green. Freshman kicker Scott Starzyk made it 14-6 two plays later, converting his second field goal of the game.
The good news is Green was seen jogging and riding the exercise bike on the Arkansas sideline during the Aggies’ ensuing drive.
