The wrist injury that Arkansas wide receiver Ismael Cisse sustained will likely sideline him for the entire 2025 season, Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman told reporters at SEC Media Days on Thursday.

“He tore some ligaments in that wrist,” Pittman said. “Probably will be a season-ending surgery that he had last Friday.”

Pittman said Cisse sustained the injury while doing a power clean during a weightlifting session.

The 6-0, 200-pound Denver, Colo., native transferred to Arkansas in January from Stanford and consistently repped with the first team during spring drills. He is one of 10 new faces for the Hogs in the wide receiver room in 2025 and one of seven signed out of the transfer portal.

“I think it’s a big loss,” Pittman said of Cisse.

Last fall at Stanford, Cisse played in all 12 games for the Cardinal with five starts and hauled in 26 catches for 241 yards and two scores, his longest reception for 25 yards.
