Arkansas wide receiver to undergo wrist surgery

Arkansas redshirt sophomore wide receiver Ismael Cisse reportedly suffered a wrist injury while taking part in a weight room workout earlier this week and will have surgery to repair it, HawgBeat has confirmed.
A source told HawgBeat the surgery will happen in the near future. While the specifics and severity of the injury are unknown, it’s unlikely he’ll suit up in fall camp at the start of August.
The 6-0, 200-pound Denver, Colo., native transferred to Arkansas in January from Stanford and consistently repped with the first team during spring drills. He is one of 10 new faces for the Hogs in the wide receiver room in 2025 and one of seven signed out of the transfer portal.

Last fall at Stanford, Cisse played in all 12 games for the Cardinal with five starts and hauled in 26 catches for 241 yards and two scores, his longest reception for 25 yards.
Coming out of Cherry Creek (Colo.) in 2023, Cisse was rated as a consensus three-star as high as the nation’s 122nd-best wideout and fifth best prospect overall in Colorado per On3. He had additional offers from Fresno State, Southern Cal and Washington State.
