Arkansas redshirt junior Caden Kitler was named to the preseason Rimington Trophy watch list that was announced by the Boomer Esiason Foundation on Friday, presented annually to college football’s most outstanding center.

A 6-foot-3, 305-pound native of The Colony (Texas), Kitler was an offseason transfer portal addition from the University of Central Florida.

Kitler played in 17 games with 13 starts during his tenure at UCF, including 11 starts last fall when he helped the Knights’ offense average 447.8 yards per game, including 248.1 on the ground.

Per Pro Football Focus, Kitler posted a 79.1 pass-blocking grade in 2024 and 77.7 over his five starts in 2023.

The Rimington Trophy is a member of the National College Football Awards Association. Founded in 1997, the NCFAA includes college football’s most prestigious awards and its 25 awards have honored more than 950 recipients dating back to 1935.

Head Coach Sam Pittman and the Hogs opened preseason practice last week with the first of 25 practices leading into the season opener. The Razorbacks kick off the 2025 season on Saturday, Aug. 30, when they welcome Alabama A&M to Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium for a 3:15 p.m. matchup on SEC Network.
