Former Razorback Isaac TeSlaa opening eyes in NFL training camp

Isaac TeSlaa may have received polarizing reactions from the Detroit fanbase when the Lions traded up 32 spots to select him 70th overall in April’s NFL Draft, but the former Hog hopes to prove why General Manager Brad Holmes made the right decision.
TeSlaa, a 6-foot-4, 215-pound Hudsonville (Mich.), native earned some social media traction on Friday when he made an impressive catch over veteran Avonte Maddox.
“This journey has been incredible and I thank God every day that I have this opportunity,” TeSlaa told reporters on Friday after practice. “I am so blessed to be here, so I just have to take advantage of it.”
TeSlaa impressed at the NFL Combine in February, posting a 39.5 vertical and was clocked at 4.43 seconds in the 40-yard dash. He was described by Holmes as his “favorite wide receiver in this draft.”
After transferring to Arkansas from Division III Hillsdale (Mich.) College prior to the 2023 season and appeared in 25 games with 17 starts. He hauled in 62 receptions for 896 yards and five touchdowns.
