The Arkansas Razorbacks men’s basketball team got their second commitment for the 2026 class on Friday.

Four-star Notre Dame (Conn.) 6-foot-5 small forward Abdou Toure joined Rivals Industry composite five-star JJ Andrews in the class. He made the announcement at his high school and on Instagram Live, which had more than 4,600 people watching.

With Toure’s addition, the Hogs have the nation’s No. 1 recruiting class for 2026.

Toure took an official visit to Arkansas the weekend of Sept. 13. He picked the Hogs over Providence and UConn, which were his top three, but also previously considered offers from Florida State, Louisville, Maryland and Oregon.

“Coach Cal and his history was the main reason I chose Arkansas,” Toure told ESPN’s Paul Biancardi.

As a junior with the Green Knights, Toure averaged 25.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.3 steals per game while earning Connecticut Gatorade Player of the Year honors.

Toure breaks down his game

In a previous interview with Rivals, Toure talked about what he does on the court and what players he thinks he plays like.

“I’d say my game has developed into more stronger, being able to put the ball on the floor more, and really consistent shooting,” Toure tells On3. “I can really do everything and try to win. That’s all I do, try to win the game. I’d say I really watch a lot of Shai (Gilgeous-Alexander) and Ant Edwards. I watch Ant Edwards with his mentality and his physicality, the way he gets to the rim, the way he finishes above the rim. And Shai, with his pace.”

According to the Rivals Industry Ranking, Toure is the No. 31 overall player in his class, No. 14 small forward and No. 1 player in the state of Connecticut.
