Malique Ewin selected to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award watch list

The No. 14 Arkansas Razorbacks have had no shortage of preseason accolades and added more to their resume on Friday.
Senior Malique Ewin was named as one of 20 players to the 2025-26 preseason watch list for the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award, presented by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame and given annually to the nation’s top center in Division I men’s college basketball.
Ewin is now one of three Hogs to be named to a preseason watch list, joining Darius Acuff Jr. (Bob Cousy Award) and Karter Knox (Julius Erving Award).
A Lawrenceville (Ga.) native, Ewin transferred from Florida State over the offseason and has also played for South Plains (Texas) Community College and in the SEC at Ole Miss.
In 30 games with the Seminoles last season, all of which were starts, Ewin averaged 10.2 points and 5.6 rebounds while shooting 59.5% from the field.
