More movement announced on Arkansas' football staff

Amidst a reshuffling of the Arkansas Razorbacks coaching staff within the past 24 hours, the university announced new positions Monday.

Arkansas assistant defensive line coach Chris Wilson been named interim defensive coordinator for the Razorbacks and will call plays, while assistant defensive backs/high school relations coach Che Hendrix will lead the safeties.

Wilson was hired to Arkansas’ staff over the summer and has coached in the collegiate and NFL ranks for more than three decades. He was the defensive line coach for the Philadelphia Eagles when the won the Super Bowl in 2017. Hendrix was also added to Arkansas’ staff last offseason following a successful stint as head coach at Boerne (Texas) High.

Running backs coach Kolby Smith, who previously coached for and played under Petrino, is the interim offensive coordinator but Petrino will still be in charge of calling plays.

After Sam Pittman was let go on Sunday, Petrino cleaned house on the defensive side of the ball Monday, relieving coordinator Travis Williams, line coach Deke Adams and co-DC Marcus Woodson of their duties.
