Report: Arkansas to hire general manager away from Big 12 program
Arkansas is hiring away Arizona general manager Gaizka Crowley, according to a report from Football Scoop’s John Brice.
Crowley is a former XOS Digital employee and is a Florida native. He was at Arizona after a stint at Western Michigan, where Brice’s report says he laid the framework for the team to win the MAC Championship this year.
Brice’s report also states that Crowley worked at Southern Illinois and Nevada-Las Vegas, where he worked with former Arkansas defensive coordinator Barry Odom.
Crowley began his career as an offensive line coach at Lincoln High School in Tallahassee, Florida, helping the team reach the 2008 FHSAA Class 4A state finals. A native of the Sunshine State, Crowley graduated from Florida State in 2010.
It’s unclear what Crowley’s official title will be, as Arkansas has also hired Scott Gasper from Memphis. He was reported to be the football general manager.
