Social media reacts to Arkansas' loss to Memphis

The Arkansas Razorbacks (2-2, 0-1 SEC) fumbled away the game for a second straight week, losing 32-31 at the hands of the Memphis Tigers (4-0) as Sam Pittman moved to 7-19 in one-score games as head coach.
The Razorbacks led 28-10 late in the first half before giving up a touchdown right before the break. Bobby Petrino’s offense managed just three second-half points while Memphis completed the largest FBS comeback of the season so far.

Final: Memphis 32, Arkansas 31
Fourth Quarter
0:53 – Memphis brings in the backup QB, who manages to push 395-LB Ian Geffrard forward for 11 yards to effectively end the football game.
1:16 – Mike Washington fumbles the football as Arkansas looks to set up for a game-winning field goal. Memphis takes over. Arkansas still has all three timeouts.
2:44 – Mike Washington is starting to take over. Arkansas is getting the ball to the perimeter and running the clock now inside the 20-yard line at the 2-minute timeout.
4:51 – Sutton Smith stiff arms Xavian Sorey and outruns the defense for a 65-yard touchdown. Smith should have been taken down in the backfield; bad tackling has cost the Razorbacks all day. The Tigers did not convert on the 2-point try. 32-31 Memphis
6:58 – Taylen Green is sacked to bring Arkansas out of field goal range after his touchdown run was called back for another very questionable holding call. Davin Bale pins Memphis inside the 5.
12:03 – Julian Neal answers with an INT of his own, mossing the Memphis receiver and adding on a nice return. Arkansas really needs to score on this drive.
14:15 – Taylen Green throws a pass directly into the chest of a Memphis corner just one play after throwing a ball that also should have been picked off. Memphis takes over down five.
Third Quarter
1:04 -Taylen Green delivers a beauty to Jalen Brown for 45 yards. Nice moment for Brown, who fumbled the game away a week ago in Oxford.
1:40 – Brendon Lewis waltzes into the endzone untouched from 10 yards out; the Tigers’ two-point attempt is no good. 31-26 Arkansas
3:47 – Brendon Lewis finds a receiver wide open downfield, another coverage bust. The 40-yard pass is Memphis’ longest of the day.
4:20 – Taylen Green connects with Rohan Jones downfield again, but Memphis holds the Razorbacks to a field goal. Arkansas has had zero success trying to open up the left side of the O-line, and is now 0-5 on first down. 31-20 Arkansas
7:25 – A Quincy Rhodes sack sets up a 47-yard Tiger field goal. Memphis strikes first in the second half despite the Razorback D-line getting some considerable pressure on Lewis. 28-20 Arkansas
10:56 – Both teams go scoreless on their first drives of the second half. Arkansas has yet to convert a third down.
HALFTIME – Arkansas 28, Memphis 17
Second Quarter

2:30 – After a Razorback three-and-out, Memphis tries a double pass, the WR throws an inaccurate pass to give Arkansas the ball right back.
4:29 – Memphis kicker hooks a 46-yard field goal just to the left of the upright, no good. The Razorback defense continues to bend but not break. 21-10 Arkansas
7:41 – Rohan Jones scores for the second time in the first half after a really nice drive. 21-10 Arkansas
12:37 – Braylen Russell bowls his way into the end zone. Arkansas’ offense has been electric outside of the interception. 14-10 Arkansas

7:33 – Devin Bale pins Memphis at the one, but an illegal formation negates the beautiful punt.
8:56 – Cam Settles recovers a gutsy Memphis onside kick attempt after the Razorback defense holds the Tigers to a field goal. 7-3 Arkansas
13:50 – Taylen Green finds Rohan Jones wide open downfield for a 62-yard touchdown strike on the opening drive. 7-0 Arkansas
