Social media reacts to Arkansas' 52-37 loss to Texas

The Arkansas Razorbacks (2-9, 0-7 SEC) dropped their ninth straight contest to the No. 17 Texas Longhorns (8-3, 5-2 SEC) 52-37 at Darrell K Royal Stadium in Austin (Texas) on Saturday with one game now remaining on the 2025 schedule against the Missouri Tigers next week.
The Longhorns outscored the Hogs 28-10 in the second half to bounce back from a lopsided road loss to Georgia.
Immediately after Arkansas starting quarterback Taylen Green threw an inexplicable interception, redshirt freshman KJ Jackson relieved Green at the 7:02 mark of the third quarter and led a 13-play drive that resulted in Scott Starzyk‘s third field goal of the day from 33 yards.
A shorthanded Arkansas backfield got an immediate burst from star back Mike Washington Jr., who sprinted a 41 yards on the opening play, but the Hogs were forced to settle with a Starzyk 51-yard field goal to cap the drive. Washington became Arkansas’ first 1,000-yard rusher in a single season since Rocket Sanders in 2022 with a 105-yard day on 17 carries.
A late first half defensive battle led to a Texas 24-20 halftime score courtesy of a Mason Shipley 44-yard field goal right before the break.
