Social media reacts to Arkansas' 56-14 win over Arkansas State
The Arkansas Razorbacks scored 28 points in the first quarter and rolled to a 56-14 over the Arkansas State Red Wolves on Saturday at Little Rock’s War Memorial Stadium in a historic first meeting of the state’s only two FBS programs.
Arkansas (2-0, 0-0 SEC) hit a wall offensively from late first quarter through most of the second. Quarterback Taylen Green hit Jalen Brown for an eight-yard touchdown with less than a minute remaining in the first half to take a 35-14 lead into halftime.
Green threw two touchdown passes in the third quarter – one to tight end Rohan Jones and the other to O’Mega Blake – ending the day 17 of 26 for 239 yards and four touchdowns, but he also threw two interceptions.
Green gashed the Red Wolves (1-1, 0-0 SBC) on the ground with a game-high 151 yards and a touchdown on nine carries, while Mike Washington added 116 yards and a score.
