Warren wide receiver Antonio Jordan could fill void left by injured Cisse

Stop me if you’ve heard this before: Arkansas has a wide receiver from Warren, and he looks like he could make an impact on the field.
The small town in Bradley County (Ark.) is known for its tomatoes and its pass-catchers, with names like Jarius Wright, Greg Childs, Chris Gragg and Treylon Burks showing up in Razorback lore over the years. There’s a new one on campus ahead of the 2025 season, and his name is Antonio Jordan.
Jordan wasn’t present in spring practices, but joined the team before summer workouts began and head coach Sam Pittman said they like what they’ve seen out of him.
“We have whom I think is a supreme talent in Antonio Jordan,” Pittman said from the podium at SEC Media Days on Thursday. “I know he’s a freshman, but we’ve seen enough out of him this summer in his off-season workout in the weight room and his running ability that we think he can help us, too.”
The 6-foot-6, 230-pound freshman looks every bit the part from a physical standpoint, and is a versatile player with great range and ability to catch the ball.
Jordan’s availability coming at the right time for the Hogs
If Jordan is able to show in fall camp that he’s capable of running with the big dogs of the SEC in year one, it could shore up an important hole in the Razorbacks’ receiver room that was just announced on Thursday.
Pittman told local media on Thursday that Stanford transfer receiver Ismael Cisse tore some ligaments in his wrist and underwent what could be season-ending surgery last Friday. The loss is a big blow to the Razorbacks, as Cisse was in line to start for the Hogs in 2025.
That said, Jordan’s impact could lessen the blow a bit. The slot receivers look to be solid with Raylen Sharpe and Kam Shanks, but there are still question marks about who could line up outside. Both Sharpe and Shanks are under 5-foot-10 and aren’t big enough to consistently play on the outside.
But Jordan’s size and speed could put him in to be a serviceable outside receiver, especially if what Pittman and his staff believe about him is true.
