Following the Future: 2026 commit Stevenson, 2027 commit Standifer have huge games

Georgia Tech CB commit Traeviss Stevenson had another big game on both sides of the ball in Brooks County's 28-0 win at Turner County Friday.

The high school football season is nearing its midway point with several members of Georgia Tech’s 2026 class and two 2027 commits in action across the Southeast.

Here is a look at how each of the commits performed in their most recent games in this edition of Following the Future, which will keep up with them throughout their seasons:

2026 Commits

Traeviss Stevenson, CB, Brooks County (Ga.)

Stevenson was all over the stat sheet once again for Brooks County in a 28-0 victory at Turner County to open the region schedule. Stevenson played a big part on offense with five catches for 109 yards with a long of 35 and also caught a two-point conversion. Defensively, Stevenson had three tackles (one solo) with an interception that he returned for 28 yards. Brooks County (2-4, 1-0 region) is on the road again this Friday for another region test at Lanier County.

Jeffar Jean-Noel, WR, American Heritage (Fla.)

American Heritage opened district play on Friday with a 28-13 victory at Plantation. Jean-Noel had another strong night on offense with five catches for 103 yards and a touchdown. His long reception of the evening came on a 68-yarder. American Heritage (2-3, 1-0) is on the road this Friday at Flanagan for a non-district contest.

Kentrell Davis, WR, Parker (Ala.)

Davis had five catches for 91 yards and a touchdown in Parker’s 45-42 home loss to Hoover in a shootout on Friday. Parker (4-2, 2-0 region) will be on the road this Friday at Jackson-Olin to jump back into region play.

Amier Clarke, DL, Osceola (Fla.)

Clarke had another strong game with six total tackles (three solo) and three tackles-for-loss in Osceola’s 18-10 win at Melbourne to open district play. Osceola (4-2, 1-0 district) is off this week before returning to its home field on Oct. 10 to host Viera.

Jack Richerson, TE, Marist (Ga.)

Marist earned an impressive 31-7 region win at Southwest DeKalb on Friday. Richerson played mostly on defense in the game and a few limited snaps on offense. Defensively, he finished with five total tackles (three solo) with one tackle-for-loss, one pass breakup and four quarterback hurries. Marist (4-1, 3-0 region) is back home this Friday to host North Springs in another region matchup.

Courtney Heard, OL, East Coweta (Ga.)

Heard started on the offensive line and helped East Coweta compile 270 total yards (108 passing, 162 rushing) in the Indians’ 45-21 road loss at Cambridge Friday. East Coweta (1-5) will open region play this Friday when they visit Douglas County.

Kymani Morales, LB, American Heritage (Fla.)

American Heritage opened district play on Friday with a 28-13 victory at Plantation. Morales finished with five total tackles (three solo), one tackle-for-loss and one sack. American Heritage (2-3, 1-0) is on the road this Friday at Flanagan for a non-district contest.

Alex Willis, Edge/DE, The First Academy (Fla.)

The First Academy rolled to a 45-14 win over Gadsden County on Friday. No individual stats for Willis were available after the game. The First Academy (4-2) is on the road at St. Frances Academy (Fla.) this Friday.

Jonathan Genty, P, Blessed Trinity (Ga.)

Blessed Trinity went on the road and earned a hard-fought 35-32 overtime win at Savannah Christian. No individual stats were available for Genty. Blessed Trinity (4-2) will open region play this Friday when they host Kell for a much-anticipated matchup.

Freddie Wilson, DL, Spruce Creek (Fla.)

Spruce Creek was down 14-0 in the first quarter at home in the first quarter vs. DeLand in the district opener when the game was suspended due to weather. It will be completed on Nov. 6. No stats were available for Wilson after the game. Spruce Creek (5-1, 0-1) will be off this week before visiting University on Oct. 10.

JJ Winston, WR, Rome (Ga.)

Rome (3-2, 2-0 region) and Winston were off this past week but will be back on the field on Friday when they host Villa Rica for another region matchup.

Ladarrious “LJ” Crumity, CB, Madison County (Fla.)

Madison County (2-3) and Crumity were idle this past week but will return to play this Friday when the host Pace.

CJ Gamble, LB, Carrollton (Ga.)

Gamble and Carrollton (6-0) got a much-deserved off week after their impressive start to the 2025 season. The Trojans will open region play this Friday when they visit Westlake.

Darnell Collins, WR/S, Rome (Ga.)

Rome (3-2, 2-0 region) and Winston were off this past week but will be back on the field on Friday when they host Villa Rica for another region matchup.

Chris Carbin, Edge/DE, Hillgrove (Ga.)

After a strong start to the season, Carbin and Hillgrove (5-0, 2-0 region) were off this past week before visiting region foe Paulding County on Friday.

Nathan Agyemang, TE, Kell (Ga.)

Kell (4-2) and Agyemang were off this past week but will be on the road this Friday at Blessed Trinity for a crucial region-opening matchup.

Isaac Obrokta, WR, Rabun Gap-Nacoochee (Ga.)

Rabun Gap (2-3) and Obrokta was off this past week. They will host Christian Brothers (Missouri) this Friday.

Jaedyn Terry, CB, Manchester (Ga.)

Manchester lost 32-24 at Trion on Friday in its region opener. Terry didn’t play in the game as he is still recovering from a lower leg injury suffered earlier in the season. Manchester (2-3) will open region play this Friday with a visit to Trion.

Xavier Rucker, RB, Allatoona (Ga.)

Allatoona (2-4, 1-1 region) and Rucker were off this past week but will host Woodland (Bartow) on Friday in another region contest.

2027 commits

Keyon Standifer, Athlete/WR, Athens Academy

Standifer was a big part of the Athens Academy offense in their 43-21 win at Oglethorpe County on Friday in a region contest as the Spartans improved to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in region play. Standifer had four catches for 131 yards and two touchdowns along with two carries for 30 yards and two touchdowns. He also had a 63-yard punt return for a touchdown, and rounded out his performance with two tackles on defense. Athens Academy will host Banks County this Friday in another region matchup.

Jordan Christie, WR, Southwest DeKalb

Southwest DeKalb fell 31-7 at home to Marist on Friday in a region matchup. No stats were available for Christie after the loss. Southwest DeKalb (4-2, 3-1 region) will be at Lithonia this Thursday in another region contest.
