The top teams in the country all have at least one game under their belts as top-ranked Hutchinson College opened the season with a resounding win over the weekend.  It sets up a mammoth battle with Iowa Western this weekend.

Drew Dallas picked up his 50th career win in the 76-8 boatrace of New Mexico Military as the win turned out to be a historic one.  Now the Blue Dragons have the task of turning the page and keeping their heads in the right place as they host No. 3 Iowa Western this weekend.  It’s a rematch of last seasons NJCAA title game, which Hutchinson won despite getting outgained by 141 yards.

San Mateo continued its dominance of the Northern California ranks with a 24-7 win over Reedley College.  The Bulldogs now have a massive matchup against No. 14 Modesto, who they beat (27-22) in the Northern California title game last fall.  San Mateo moved up to No. 2 in the Dirty 30 Rankings this week as a result of Iowa Western being idle.

Gulf Coast looks like a force in the Mississippi ranks and comes in at No. 4 in the rankings this week.  The Bulldogs have outscored their first two opponents 99-28 after smashing Delta, 58-7, last Thursday.  Gulf Coast now gets a solid test from No. 27 Jones, who has beaten its first two opponents 81-20.

Golden West College moved into the top-10 at No. 9 after outscoring perennial power Riverside City 42-35.  The two squads combined for 923 yards while being whistled for a combined 32 penalties in a physical battle.  Golden West now hosts Allan Hancock College this weekend.

The biggest early surprise of the 2025 campaign has to be Southwestern College.  The Jaguars improved to 2-0 after throttling Orange Coast, 71-10, on Saturday.  Southwestern now make its first-ever appearance in the Dirty 30 at No. 30 after putting up 588 yards on the Pirates.  The Jags should pick up a third straight win at Long Beach City this weekend.

Tyler Junior College looks like one of the favorites to win the Southwest Junior College Football Conference (SWJCFC) after going on the road to Utah and beating Snow College 26-12.  The Apaches moved up to No. 23 in the rankings this week and have a big road test at No. 35 Trinity Valley to open SWJCFC play.

Here is the rest of the JCGridiron Dirty 30 Rankings.  Just a reminder, the Dirty 30 Rankings do not count games against unaffiliated programs or club programs in its rankings.
