JCGridiron started in 2005 as a part of the Rivals Network and joined the On3 Network in 2025. It has gotten the reputation of being the most complete junior college football recruiting site in the industry.

Brad Hoiseth is the main publisher and started the site in order to give exposure to the talent-rich junior college ranks, which had previously been ignored and misconstrued. Since his arrival, he has developed a reputation as being the authority on JUCO recruiting news. Hoiseth’s popularity took center stage in 2020 when he was featured in the popular Netflix Original Series “Last Chance U” (Season V, Laney).
