The season is heading down the back stretch and a couple more undefeated teams saw their perfect season come to an end.  Yet, with a handful of games remaining on the regular season before the playoffs hit, 25 programs are still in the mix to make a run at a Dirty 30 National Title.

The biggest game took place in Mississippi where Copiah-Lincoln College withstood a late charge to hold off Mississippi Gulf Coast, 27-26.  The Wolves (6-1) moved up to No. 6 in the Dirty 30 Rankings while Gulf Coast fell to No. 9 with their first loss of the season.  Co-Lin now gets East Central on Thursday, who just upset Jones.  Gulf Coast will travel to Coahoma.

Southwestern College suffered its first defeat in the Southern California ranks at the hands of perennial power Riverside City College, 69-42.  It doesn’t get any easier for the Jaguars over the next two weeks as they face No. 19 El Camino this weekend and No. 11 Saddleback the next.  Southwestern fell to No. 25 in the rankings while Riverside City rose to No. 23.

The Jayhawk Conference is going to be decided in the next couple of weeks, and this weekend’s battle between No. 1 Hutchinson and No. 13 Coffeyville has the makings of a good one.  Hutchinson made a mess of Independence this past weekend (70-12) while Coffeyville has won four of its last five, including wins against No. 16 Butler and No. 22 Garden City to put themselves in a good spot should they upset Hutchinson.

With two games remaining, No. 7 Tyler is in a great spot to win the Southwest Junior College Football Conference.  The Apaches are the lone remaining undefeated team in the conference and the only way they could drop from the top spot is by losing both of their last two games against last place Kilgore and No. 20 Navarro.  It isn’t likely, but stranger things have happened.

The Northern California ranks are tight battles this season, with No. 2 San Mateo being the lone remaining undefeated team in the region.  The Bulldogs face a suddenly surging San Francisco program that has won four straight and moved up to No. 30 in the rankings this week.  A win by San Mateo would likely give them the league title with two games remaining.  The other two conferences appear to be heading towards a photo finish.  No. 21 Butte and No. 49 Sierra sit at the top of the Norcal Standings while No. 17 Sequoias and No. 24 Modesto lead the Valley.

Here is the rest of the JCGridiron Dirty 30 Rankings.  Just a reminder, the Dirty 30 Rankings do not count games against unaffiliated programs or club programs in the rankings.
