Wild shakeup in the Dirty 30

The 2025 season has nearly reached the halfway point and the battle for the 21st annual Dirty 30 National Title looks vicious. Four teams in the top 10 fell from the ranks of unbeaten, making way for a ton of movement in the top 30.
The West Coast had some mammoth games this past weekend that rocked the shape of the rankings. Out in Riverside, Saddleback scored 20 straight points down the stretch to turn back perennial power Riverside City, 40-34, in double-overtime to end a six-game losing streak against the Tigers. The Bobcats moved up 11 spots to No. 16 in the rankings as a result while RCC dropped down to No. 24. Saddleback will host Chaffey College this weekend for Homecoming while Riverside City will try to pick up the pieces against Palomar College.
Citrus College pulled off one of the bigger upsets of the season when they stunned previous No. 4 Mt. San Antonio College, 48-43. Mt. SAC had 671 yards of offense in the game but couldn’t overcome three costly turnovers. Citrus skyrocketed to No. 19 in the rankings while Mt. SAC dropped 16 spots to No. 20. Citrus has had two nice wins in a row and now travels to Santa Ana while Mt. SAC looks to take it out on Moorpark.
Another stunner happened in the Jayhawk Conference where Coffeyville nipped previous No. 6 Garden City, 26-24. Aiden Burgess made a 19-yard field goal as time expired and Mac Armstrong threw three touchdown passes as the Red Ravens outscored the Broncbusters 19-7 in the second half. Coffeyville rose to No. 23 with the win while Garden City fell to No. 28 with the loss.
The Mississippi ranks look like a mad race to catch Gulf Coast as the group of teams looking to make a playoff run is crazy. Gulf Coast remains as the lone undefeated team at No. 3 in the rankings, but another five teams remain in the top 30 with another three on the bubble. Hinds College comes in at No. 12 and Copiah-Lincoln College No. 13 as the closest chasers through four weeks. Gulf Coast plays Pearl River College on Thursday, looking for a 5-0 start.
Tyler JC remains the lone undefeated team from the Southwest Junior College Football Conference (SWJCFC) and the Apaches (3-0) rose to No. 8 in the rankings this week despite not playing. Tyler resumes this week against Northeastern Oklahoma A&M. At No. 11, Navarro College is the closest SWJCFC team in the rankings.
We keep talking about it but can’t say enough about the start for Southwestern College in Southern California. The Jaguars are now 4-0 after beating Mt. San Jacinto College, 31-10, over the weekend. Southwestern rose to No. 18 in the rankings this week and continues to turn heads. The Jags get a tough test this week from rival San Diego Mesa College, who comes in on the bubble at No. 34.
Newcomers to the top 10 this week include No. 7 Diablo Valley, No. 8 Tyler and No. 10 Ventura.
Here is the rest of the JCGridiron Dirty 30 Rankings. Just a reminder, the Dirty 30 Rankings do not count games against unaffiliated programs or club programs in the rankings.
