Former U-M OL Jon Jansen to be inducted into Michigan Athletics Hall of Honor

Former Michigan offensive lineman Jon Jansen is set to receive one of the highest honors the athletic department can bestow on a former athlete.

U-M announced on Wednesday that former offensive lineman Jon Jansen will be named to the Michigan Athletics Hall of Honor this year.
Jansen is one of seven names who will be inducted this year, including legendary softball coach Carol Hutchins among others.
The induction ceremony is set to take place on Oct. 17 with the group to be recognized during the football game on Oct. 18.
Jansen was a captain for the 1997 national championship team and was a mainstay on the Wolverines’ offensive line during his tenure, who started a then program record 50-straight games.
He went on to play 11 seasons in the NFL with the Washington Commanders (then Redskins) and the Detroit Lions.
