Bruce Feldman's annual college football 'Freaks List' is a celebrated tradition in the sport, first published in 2005. Each year, Feldman compiles a list of the 100 most 'freakish' college football athletes for the upcoming season, gathering insights from coaches, scouts, trainers, and agents. Michigan has consistently been well-represented on the list. Past Wolverines like Mazi Smith (2022), Kwity Paye (2020), and Rashan Gary (2018) have all topped the list at No. 1. Last year, four Michigan players made the cut, with Kenneth Grant earning the No. 3 spot. This year, two Wolverines have been named to the list. Senior tight end Marlin Klein, the presumed starter for the upcoming season, appears at No. 35, marking his second consecutive appearance. He's joined by redshirt freshman defensive lineman Manuel Beigel, who makes his debut on the list at No. 62.
