Colston Loveland was selected with the 10th overall pick by the Chicago Bears in the most recent NFL Draft, closing out an outstanding three-year career at Michigan. During his time in Ann Arbor, he earned First Team All-Big Ten honors in 2024 and led the team in receiving yards last season, an impressive feat for a tight end. Notably, Loveland was recruited out of Idaho, a state that has produced only nine four-star or higher prospects since rankings began in 1999. Now, the Wolverines are hoping to replicate that success with Matt Ludwig, a four-star tight end commit in the 2026 class from Montana, a state that has produced just two four-star or higher prospects in the modern recruiting era. Ludwig, a 6'4", 200-pound standout for Billings (Mont.) West, has the tools and upside to become the next elite tight end in the Maize and Blue.
