Michigan basketball has added a third member to its 2026 recruiting class with small forward Malachi Brown committing to the program on Wednesday.

The addition was confirmed by Brown’s AAU program, Tennessee Impact.

The 6-foot-5 forward out of Tennessee does not have much recruiting exposure, as the Wolverines are one of the few high-major programs showing interest.

Thanks to a strong summer performance with Tennessee Impact, it caught the attention of U-M head coach Dusty May, who didn’t waste any time extending an offer. Brown also didn’t waste any time wrapping up his recruitment process as he committed to the program soon after.

Brown joins forward Quin Costello and big man Marcus Moller in the Wolverines’ 2026 class.
